The MiniDrive, hands-on review

Upgrade your MacBook storage with The Mini Drive. Hands-on review.

A couple of weeks ago we did a review on a product, the Nifty Mini Drive. For those who didn’t read the article, it is a product on KickStarter that allows you to upgrade the storage of your MacBook Air/Pro/Retina. Well we just found something at a cheaper price for you guys and we decided to do a hands-on review on it. It’s call, The Mini Drive.

The Midi Drive is an adaptor to fit a Micro SD card into your MacBook so it upgrade your storage without having any bezel coming out of your Mac. Because the thing is, on a MacBook, when you insert an SD card it comes out about a quarter of an inch out of it can be annoying when use it for extra storage for your computer. So now with The Mini Drive you can upgrade your MacBook storage up to 64Gb and your MacBook look still nice.

The product is made of engineered plastic, instead of Aluminium from The Nifty Mini Dive so it is cheaper and it has the same strength and you know, it doesn’t really have to look great because, well the particularity of the product is that you shouldn’t see it. Therefore, the product works really great, I did not have any problem with recognizing the Micro SD card in my computer and the small adaptor is very easy to take out, you simply have to pull on the little transparent plastic strip that get it out of your MacBook.

Samsung hit iPhone on their latest galaxy S4 ad

Samsung is getting really good at it, making the iPhone look so “un-cool” in their ads. This one doesn’t make any exception. A bunch of cool freshly graduate kids, using their Galaxy and showing it to their old parent, who guess what? Use an iPhone 5.

Heads Up! arrives on iPhone

Heads Up is a fun new app that gathers all your smarty pants friends and family members to the table. Heads up was shown on the Ellen DeGeneres show the other day where Ellen and her guest star Alison Sweeney played the new game. It is based on the game “head bands”.

In this game, a contestant places the iPhone on his forehead showing the screen part to the opponent. The opponent must give clues to the other contestant trying to get him to guess as many words as possible. There are different categories making the game different every time you play!
As you play, the game is being filmed with the iPhone to be able to look after the game and have a couple laughs.

The app is now available on the app store. Take a look at Ellen and her guest playing the game Heads up.

It is a great way to get the family together including the young ones. With technology taking over, we must be able to transfer board games onto electronic devices. Atom, a beautiful lock screen

Hey guys! Here is a new jailbreak tweak from big boss repo on Cydia that customizes your lock screen by adding your favorite apps on it for a quick access.

This is a real useful app for a quick iMessage or for a fast call, but it needs some getting use to since you have to grab the bottom black circle and slide it over the app you want to launch.

The social aspect of the Internet is one of the mainstream to make good marketing theses days.

Instagram, Facebook, twitter, vine and YouTube just to name a few are used on a regular basis to promote, publicize and tease people about existing or upcoming product, but sometimes an incredible mistake is made.

JamStik the tiny guitar that connects with your iPhone

My whole family was blessed with musical talent, for me this component must have been forgotten since it is one this I just can’t seem to get the hang of! I am sure that i am not the only one out there that has the desire to play guitar but just can’t do it.

Well, luckily for you there is Jamstik. It is a smaller version of a guitar that is made for beginners and for the advanced musicians. For the beginners, it has lights to show you where to properly place your fingers and with the help of their app, it has an easy to follow guide to help you through the process. For the more advanced musicians, it is much easier to travel this smaller instrument and also, using sensors can record the songs you have played.
