iPhone 5s leather case by Apple (RED) Edition

Personally I’ve been using Apple products for a while, loving their product design. I bought each generation of the iPhone since 2007 and from the first day I was ripped apart between using it “nude” and get some dent and scratches on it, or put this work of art in a case and keep it perfect, but never have that direct feeling with the iPhone.

Let me explain how I manage my iPhone cycle. Each year I buy the newest generation of iPhone, selling the old one on a website like eBay, Keeping my iPhone in good condition allows me to resell it when Apple announces a new phone at a good price, and apply the amount on the new device.

When Apple announces the iPhone 5s I was so amazed by the device, I didn’t give any attention to the leather case, thinking It was just another case.

Trust me I was wrong.

From Apple website

New Apple-designed cases pair beautifully with your iPhone 5s. They’re crafted from premium leather, so they look and feel luxurious. They come in six different colours — including a (RED)™ edition. And they’re precision engineered to fit your iPhone 5s. So even when the case is on, your device is still slim and elegant in your hand.

Apple product knows how to make a product feel and look just right. The iPhone 5s case doesn’t make an exception to this rule. It fit the iPhone 5s like a glove, you can see it in every single detail, each single hole for the speaker and microphone grill are cut in the bottom part of the case, the textured leather doesn’t feel cheap and the velvet type interior provides a soft interior to rest your phone.

The level of protection provided by the case is perfect for me, I’m working in an office, honestly I don’t think this case can provide protection for a construction worker but can be perfect for any average user.

For me it’s a clear choice, it is one of the best case in the market, and I will use it for the next year on my iPhone 5s.

You can get your own on their website for $45

The MiniDrive, hands-on review

minidriveUpgrade your MacBook storage with The Mini Drive. Hands-on review.

A couple of weeks ago we did a review on a product, the Nifty Mini Drive. For those who didn’t read the article, it is a product on KickStarter that allows you to upgrade the storage of your MacBook Air/Pro/Retina. Well we just found something at a cheaper price for you guys and we decided to do a hands-on review on it. It’s call, The Mini Drive.

The Midi Drive is an adaptor to fit a Micro SD card into your MacBook so it upgrade your storage without having any bezel coming out of your Mac. Because the thing is, on a MacBook, when you insert an SD card it comes out about a quarter of an inch out of it can be annoying when use it for extra storage for your computer. So now with The Mini Drive you can upgrade your MacBook storage up to 64Gb and your MacBook look still nice.minidrive 2

The product is made of engineered plastic, instead of Aluminium from The Nifty Mini Dive so it is cheaper and it has the same strength and you know, it doesn’t really have to look great because, well the particularity of the product is that you shouldn’t see it. Therefore, the product works really great, I did not have any problem with recognizing the Micro SD card in my computer and the small adaptor is very easy to take out, you simply have to pull on the little transparent plastic strip that get it out of your MacBook.minidrive 3 minidrive 4

For a price of $20 shipped on amazon and $22 shipped on eBay you can’t go wrong. For more information on these awesome product please visit their website.

Heads Up! arrives on iPhone

Heads Up is a fun new app that gathers all your smarty pants friends and family members to the table. Heads up was shown on the Ellen DeGeneres show the other day where Ellen and her guest star Alison Sweeney played the new game. It is based on the game “head bands”.

In this game, a contestant places the iPhone on his forehead showing the screen part to the opponent. The opponent must give clues to the other contestant trying to get him to guess as many words as possible. There are different categories making the game different every time you play!
As you play, the game is being filmed with the iPhone to be able to look after the game and have a couple laughs.

The app is now available on the app store. Take a look at Ellen and her guest playing the game Heads up.
